I wanted to try a black IPA this year. I hope you guys like it, sometimes it is a little too hoppy for me. I may have forgotten about it for a while (anyone else ever do that?) and ended up dry hopping an extra week. This is the Brewer’s Best kit from Bull City, but the recipe is as follows:
Fermentables 3.3lb Special Dark LME 3.3lb Amber LME 1lb Amber DME
Grains 8oz Victory 8oz Caramel 80L
Hops 1oz Magnum Hops @ 0 minutes 1oz Simcoe Hops @ 40 minutes 1oz Simcoe Hops @ 55 minutes Boil 5 more minutes for total of 60 minutes
Yeast BRY-97
*After primary, dry hop with 2oz Cascade hops
Thanks for all the delicious drinks everyone! Enjoy!

I love simple. This is simple, and probably my favorite brew from the Advent Calender so far.

What donovan said. Solid brew, everything was spot on. I wanted another. Good job!

I've had this beer before when Scott made it. We served it at the World Beer Festival. This beer is good, spot on.
