The motivation for this beer is DuClaw's Sweet Baby Jesus - coming to North Carolina soon, I'm told. Like many of us who love a beer and want to make one like it, that's the story here. Through message boards I think I found the place that supplies DuClaw with the flavoring (which does NOT include actual nuts), then ordered a 4 oz. bottle which was added at bottling.
9 lbs. 2-row Pale 2 lbs. Munich - 20 SRM 12 oz. Chocolate 8 oz. Biscuit 4 oz. Caraaroma 4 oz. Roasted Barley MASH AT 152 for 1 hour
1 oz. Nugget @ 60m 1 oz. E. Kent Goldings @ 10m S05 Yeast
Didn't write down gravity readings, but OG was around 1.060 and FG in the 1.014-1.016 range.
Hope you like it!

Peanut butter aroma on this was fantastic. I like the mouthfeel as well. My one critique is that I'm getting a slight herbal flavor. I think I'd drop the 10 minute hop addition and just go with a bitterness addition as the hops might be competing a bit with the peanut butter.

Wow, as soon as the bottle is open it's like sticking your head in a jar of peanut butter. Good beer, nice peanut butter flavor with some chocolate as is warms. I agree with carboywonder, drop the late addition. It clashes with the rest of the beer.

I am not a fan of Sweet Baby Jesus, but Lori is. It does taste very similar, and Lori's eyes lit up as she tasted it "Wow, this is really nice, they did a great job!"

So usually when I pour I stick my nose and whiff and man did that aroma hit me right in the head. The aroma was great and I tried to pinpoint what flavors I smelled, got the chocolate, got the roasted barley. I wanted to interpret it on my own before logging on and I did not get peanut butter but when I saw "Peanut Butter Porter" it all made sense. I have never tried Sweet Baby Jesus (where's the closest place to get it around here?) but it's on the list to try now! Great job!

I knew this one was going to be a winner when I popped it open. Great peanut butter aroma, the smell was perfect. Your extract is worlds better than that PB2 stuff that some people mistakenly use to make peanut butter beer. The flavor is very good... solid roasted porter and the peanut butter is not overwhelming. Sweet Baby Jesus is a pretty over the top beer in how peanut buttery it is, I like the more subtle flavor this beer has. It even says "PB" on your avatar's hat, I'm guessing that means peanut butter. Also, if I could get a big jelly-flavored muscadine wine to go with this beer, I'd say you've got a combination that's ready to go to market. Well done!

Appreciate the feedback. Glad the beer was palatable. The pb on the avatar hat was an awesome coincidence. Just trying to get all g'ed up with the hat, trying to look more like Kyle with the beard so my brewing skills will be magically enhanced through osmosis.

Wow, yeah, what everyone else said. I've never had Sweet Baby Jesus, though, so I have nothing to compare this too. Great mouthfeel. I definitely prefer this to the PB2 stuff I've had. What was the name of the flavoring you used?

Wow---this one is all new to me---what miraculous Reese's technology is it that gives my beer a peanut butter nose but doesn't use peanut butter in the recipe ?----Ok---so I see now that there is a peanut butter cup extract flavoring that can be used---but is that what went into this brew ?
