Nice work Scott! I like the fact that the spice comes through more in the aroma than overpowering the flavor. Like many others here, I also like the control over the carbonation you get when bottling from the keg rather than priming at bottling time. My bottle was perfectly carbonated and very tasty especially after it warmed up a bit. Great start to the calendar!

Agree with everyone's comments. I did not detect any fermentation issues behind the spice and thought the beer was very clean. I liked that the beer was not overcarbed, it almost gave it a sense of being stronger than it actually was (say, like a barleywine). Well done! It's nice to have a subtly spiced beer given how the craft market typically seems to push the limits on the spicing.

Really like this beer. I actually brewed my first holiday ale yesterday - while enjoying your offering - and coincidentally I expect that my beer will taste very similar to this one.
Perfect carbonation and head, by the way. Well done.

I'm really digging this, too. Reminds me quite a bit of Great Lakes' Christmas Ale.
I got a full bottle, great carbonation and I get an almost berry sweetness on the end of each smell and taste. Good stuff!

Agree with the consensus on tasting notes, also not a big spiced beer fan. Good carbonation. I would definitely drink it again.

Very tasty! I like the pumpkin pie type spice and it works well with the malty sweetness of the beer

(Sorry for the late reply. I'm going back through the notes I made on each one I've tasted.) I really enjoyed this beer. It's very well balanced and nicely carbonated.
