Hi all, my name is Mike. Got my first equipment from Bull City Homebrew (then The Brewmaster Store on Geer St) as a Christmas present in 2007 and been brewing since. I have gravitated to wheats in recent years since the commercial offerings tend to be limited and I've found the wheat DME gives a nice flavor. One day I will have the time and gumption to make the move to all grain...
Brewed a pumpkin dunkelweizen yesterday for the HACP. I am going to add a spice tea next weekend at racking. The mix is still TBD so if anyone would like to make suggestions I am open to them! Brew stats below, 5 gallon batch.
OG 1.084 2 lbs chocolate wheat 30 min steep 9 lbs wheat DME 1 oz Cascade 60 min 10 cups (~5.5 lbs) pie pumpkin from the garden-pureed and baked. Added to boil with the Cascade. SafBrew WB-06

then The Brewmaster Store on Geer St Wow Bullseye, that really does go way back doesn't it? Times sure have changed... Your recipe sounds great and I love the spiced tea idea. Can't wait!

Hi Everybody,
My name is Greg and live in Durham. Had a great time with the advent calendar last year, and excited for this year. I'll be submitting a black IPA or a winter ale; like some of the others on here we'll see which one turns out the best and decide. Excited to try everyone's beverages!

Hey everyone - Bryan here. I'm a second-timer with the calendar, which I LOVED last year, so for all the newbies joining, you're in for a treat.
I live/work in Durham and have been brewing for three years - my homebrewversary is in a few weeks, actually. I've made batches all over the board in the past, but I'm hoping to make something a bit simple to share with everyone. I've got a (slightly tweaked) recipe for a Edmund Fitzgerald clone I'm going to try. I haven't made a porter in a couple years, so I figured now would be a good time to give it a shot and make something seasonally appropriate, too.
Like many of you, my taste for beers is varied, so I can't wait to try what everyone is making. I love the chance for new experiences with beer and there's no better way than an effort like this with so many crafty homebrewers.
Cheers!

Quick note about my beer, which is #3 - it's carbing very slow and since it's early in the calendar, you may want to save it for later in the month. I just popped a bottle to test and got a little hiss, but a flat pour. Hey everyone - Bryan here.
